Another two cents.

There's more happening here today than you realize.  You are actually getting two, two, two posts in one today.  I just finished putting tomorrow's edition in the queue.  Now, I'm not only two months ahead of you, I have also done at least two entries (the Blues are playing tonight, so there might actually be another one in the books) today.  I know, right?  What the hell is going on in the wastelands?  No, I'm not ill, nor chained to my desk being goaded with a cattle prod to produce content.  That is in itself a grand thing.  The muse with the stun gun is a harsh mistress/dominatrix.

So, how's everyone doing today?   Yes, it's still moot and ancient history.  Unless of course we forget about the time travel aspect of these entries.  I suppose I could ask you how you were doing two months ago, or how you'll be doing two months from today.  Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey again.

The GOP clown car is relatively quiet today.  I don't mind.  People are starting to see Carson as the uninformed, misinformed, misguided panderer he is, trying to shore up his base.  He fails to realize his base is not anywhere close to where most Americans are.  Trumpo is still a loud and obnoxious bully.  Jindal has dropped out, was he ever really in?   Cruz is still all mouth spewing his religious freedoms in the form of hate.  Rubio vows to overturn any changes in Cuban policy.   Fiorina has been very quiet all week.  Paul has just put forth an amendment that will end housing assistance to all refugees.  The rest of the field are just hanging in by a thread. 

The U.S. House has just voted in what they claim as veto proof a ban on all Syrian refugees entering the country.  Red state governors across the country are claiming they have the courage to stand up to the Federal government and are refusing to accept any refugees at all.  My two cents, it's not courage, it's suspicions, fear and Islamophobia trying to hide behind a false bravado.  In those states, Daesh has won, they've chased cowards back into a hole.  #refugeeswelcome.  

Oh, now three U.S. senators, James Inhofe (R-Okla), Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) have introduced a resolution opposing  U.N. climate change talks.  I don't know anything about Manchin, but Inhofe and Blunt have GOT TO GO.  Blunt is a Koch brothers meat puppet.  He does not serve the best interests of Missouri or Missourians.  I can safely say he will not, under any circumstances benefit from my vote on Election day.  

Remember all of this in November, don't let the Republicans take us back to the middle ages.  The GOP and especially the Tea Party wing are not your friends.  Women, Minorities, Veterans, the disappearing middle-class, and the rest of us who are not old, rich, white guys are all in danger from their particular brands of idiocy.
