Slacker slacking.

Oh oh.  I'm falling behind.   I didn't write an entry yesterday, and by the time on the clock I'm not likely to have this one done for today either.  Granted, I'm still ahead.  I should be fighting hordes of die hard fans, and filing into a a crowded theater stuffed full of die hard fans, screaming fan boyz and gurlz, cosplaying Jedi's, storm troopers, Obi Wans and Vaders.  But I'm not.  I'll wait.  Perhaps until a DVD release.  It's not that I'm not excited about seeing it, just not as geeked out about it as I should be.  Being the anti-social curmudgeon, the crowds, the whole theater experience, age, J.J. Abrams, and maybe a bit of depression just make me want to wait.

After the travesties that were the last three Star Wars films, I'm a little concerned about Abrams influence on this one.  I'm sure I'll hear all about it tomorrow.

Not only Star Wars but Trek as well.  I'm not a fan of Abrams work, and the newest STAR TREK trailer does nothing to improve my opinion.  Yes, I realize, I'm not in the 18-35 year old movie going demographic.  The latest Trek tease to lure me into the theater, which I despise, (as noted above) looks more like Fast and the Furious in Star Trek uniforms.  It may look like a duck, and walk like a duck and even quack with technobabble quackery but it ain't Star Trek.

It was hockey night tonight, great game and a good win.  I won't bore you with the details.  You could probably do a bit of detective deduction and determine the date I'm describing.  Yes, the alteration is purely intentional.

Yep, it's official, two days without a post as it is now after midnight in the Wasteland time zone.  In my defense, something shiny caught my eye and I've been busy chasing it around.  Yesterday, I decided I wanted to change Windows 10, pathetic, unobtrusive, polite alarms to something more robust, something more in line with my personality...obnoxious, something I could hear.  My first thought was to find my Wav file collection.  Yes, sound files, at one point I collected sound files.  They were always good for something. I knew it was around here somewhere.  After downloading a portion of my collection and screening some 6500 wavs I weeded it down to 10 files, edited, trimmed, compressed and installed.  Damn, the bad luck, only about half of them worked.  I'm missing something in the conversion.  However, I'm not going to go through the whole collection to find more replacements.  Perhaps, I'll make/convert one once in a while to import.

As always, thanks for hanging out in my little corner of the wastelands.

See you tomorrow.
