Never mind...
I had planned to write an entry detailing another of those great milestones in science fiction. However, the real world conspired against me. I really needed to spend today re-watching the original film, such as it is, doing the research to do the blog entry right, or as near to right as I could have gotten it. Then, I needed to spend some quality time on the Traveller campaign, a good game never writes itself. Perhaps in a future entry I can go into some of the stuff that's required to referee a good RPG. My players are still having fun, so I must be doing something right.
Anyway, instead of writing a blog and doing game support, I played teacher. My niece is home-schooled, and today, she selected me as her afternoon teacher. So we did a little math, and a little science and we've started discussing technology of the middle ages.
So, instead of regaling you with my incredible wit and boring you to tears with another boring assed history, film, science fiction geekanerdazoid moment I got to regale my niece with my incredible wit and made her listen to a boring assed old guy trying to be a teacher.
Writer and Director Fritz Lang's Metropolis is set in a futuristic urban dystopia.
