Is this the beginning of the end? I took yesterday off, no posts for us. Being Thanksgiving had little to do with it though. I just didn't post anything. So, sue me.
I don't care for most holidays. For me, most of the ones celebrated in this country are simply just another day. I do recognize Veteran's Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day and though they are not holidays, The Service anniversaries are important to me. I used to honor Independence day, back when I was proud of my country, today, not so much. As a child, Christmas meant FREE LOOT. As an adult the religious holiday has no meaning for me. Thanksgiving is an excuse to overeat like like an idiot and in tryptophan induced comas watch football. If you've been following along you may remember I don't care for most sports thingys. Yay! sportsball. I didn't even partake in a Traditional American Thanksgiving family get together and dinner. My Thanksgiving dinner consisted of a bowl of Cheerios. The fourth Thursday in November marks the beginning of my bah fucking humbug, get the hell away from me with your holiday cheer season. I do not care. Go AWAY. Leave me to my hibernation, perhaps I'll come out after the spring thaw, as the days grow longer and the temperatures increase to more tolerable ranges. South of the 0° latitude line could make me a little more human and bearable. Probably shouldn't bet the farm on that though. Being north of the equator for the season makes me more irritable and bear-like, that would be the hirsute, ursine, and not necessarily (at all) cuddly version, and I'm sorry to disappoint, I am straight, well in this lifetime anyway.
I'm a old, chronically cynical curmudgeon, one with obvious alliteration issues.
Cortana is predicting cold and more rain for the next three days. At least it is supposed to remain above 32°F/0°C and there happens to be snow, (expletives deleted) snow in the forecast.
Thanks for sticking around.
See you Tomorrow...
