More Drivel

I should be writing a blog post.  I should be, but I'm not.  Instead, I'm just driveling.  That's driveling, not dribbling.  I don't play basketball and I wear my Depends.

Twelve days and seven posts ahead of this one publishing.  So much for the two and a half months lead time I had.  On the plus side though, this one and two more will complete four consecutive months of the Ramble. How in the bloody hell did I manage to get 83 days of posting?

I'm still avoiding CNN and Twitter for the most part, and it is driving me bonkers being out of the current events loop.   Okay, fine, I'll admit it.  I'm addicted, I need a news fix.  However, my mental health doesn't need a news fix.  The limited amount of news that I do get can't satisfy the craving.   I must have a 16 hour a day habit.

No news, a limited amount of television, and weird absence of of any music have left it relatively quiet around here.  Spring has sprung, the doors and window are open.  Both me and Elvis (you didn't think you weren't going to get that whole big white dog thing again did you?), are enjoying the 22°c / 72°f temperatures, the low humidity and light winds. We had better enjoy it while it lasts, because it won't.  We'll have summer weather here, hot, humid and muggy; hoggy weather in the wastelands long before the calendar announces the 'official' arrival of Summertime, where the living is easy.

(There are a bazillion covers of this, one of my favorites.
So many in fact I had a hard time choosing the one to feature.
So, I fell back to one by a favorite vocalist.  Lady Day.)

It's second season hockey time, and the Bluenotes are still in it to win it.  The entire team is healthy, finally, after more than 280 man-games lost to injury.  I mentioned that the I-55/Route 66 Black and Blue rivalry would be heating up, again, some more, still?  Tonight's first round game feature the Hawks in St. Louis.  Chitown will be coming on with fire in their eyes, having lost game one in overtime.  Yes, I know.  You still don't care and it's still ancient history.  I'll give you three guesses as to what the TV will be turned to at 7 this evening.

As always, it isn't much.  It is another day closer to four months though.

I should be writing a blog post, oops, I guess I just did.

Thanks for coming, you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.
Sayonara mis amigas y amigos.
See you tomorrow.
