Groundhog Dog Day Afternnon.

Groundhog day in the wastelands,  and the idiotic tradition of a groundhog weather forecaster is calling for an early spring.  Yep, let's base our predictions on folklore and not science.  I guess for today anyway,   Punxsutawney Phil is right.  Sunshine and 16°c/62°f.  On February 2nd, here, at this latitude/longitude?   Tomorrow, 2°c/36 Fahrenheit.  At this time five years ago we were trying to dig out from a blizzard event and two following snowfalls that left us with more than 30" of fluffy, white, ugly as sin (expletives deleted) snow..   The two 'little' storms were big storms for this area.  The blizzard hammered us with 22".

This would have been the view from the front door.   Needless to say, I wasn't a happy, igloo camping Inuk   Even as a kid it sucked, the only good part were snow days.  Which back then were few and far between.

"Hey Chip, let's go play in the snow" ~No.
"Hey Chip, wanna build a snowman?"~No.
"Hey Chip, snowball fight?~Sure.  Absolutely.  Go on out and build the forts.  If I'm not there in twenty or thirty minutes start with out me." ~ locks the door, gets a cuppa hot chocolate and finds a good book.

I'm sure this part of the wastelands isn't the only place where we say;
"If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes it'll change."
The two-week forecast shows everything between sub-freezing low temperatures to daytime highs near 60°F/16°c.  Yep, the only thing constant about wasteland weather, is it will change.

As always, gracias.

See you tomorrow.
